Testimonials

I very much enjoyed Mr. John Taylor’s Training. Our classes were very active learning types with a variety of methods (not merely lecture based) and the conversations were very engaging and left lasting impressions. We explored in detail some subjects Mr. Taylor had on the syllabus (like: Poses/ assists/ modification & variations/ props, safe alignment; Bone anatomy/ connective tissue & Yin Yoga, sequencing a class/ themes, guided meditations; Yoga history/ studies/ styles/ lifestyles/ philosophies). In addition to the theoretical syllabus materials and bountiful amounts of practice teaching, we also explored topics Ms. RE and myself were interested in (like: sequencing our own class each, Chakras, Active Breathing, Taoism, and Mr. Taylor directed us to resources for additional study). Mr. Taylor was very generous with his own time and personal resources (he loaned out his personal DVDs and books for us to use and expand our understanding). If Mr. Taylor didn’t immediately know something (a rarity), he took the time to seek out the information and get back with the answers or resources for further investigation. I very much appreciate Mr. Taylor’s dedication to our training and being flexible (offering additional hours and alternative completion paths) especially when my schedule became very stressful and hectic. I recognize Mr. Taylor’s being open to change and also being able to adjust the content to make the best use of our time (Ms. RE and I are both long time educators and as such the stream of “how to educate” was addressed, but not belabored as Mr. Taylor understood our backgrounds). I have been in education for 14 years and before that in business for 6 years (working on 3 continents). It has taken me a long time to do anything purely for myself and I am blessed to have completed this journey with JT and RE. It has changed my perspective, and will continue to shape my life. I would recommend Mr. Taylor’s training for anyone wishing to change their direction in life, or to add a new “Way” of doing to their existing toolkit. I am grateful to be in this moment – Namaste’ 🙂

I am extremely fortunate to have taken my 200 YTT with John Taylor Yoga. John provided a thorough and insightful training which has created a strong foundation as I begin my yoga journey as a teacher. John’s experience teaching various yoga classes was a wonderful resource to draw upon for discussion of situations which can and do arise with students in a yoga class. Because of John’s knowledge in creating classes in a variety of settings, I now have a thorough understanding of how to design yoga classes for a balanced practice. John has a deep understanding of the benefits of poses relating to anatomy and physiology, and how student skeletal and muscular differences impact individual expression of the poses. I will always be grateful to John for his conscientious adherence to the tenants of yoga practice, as well as his deep commitment to the success of all his students in achieving their goals. I hope more future yoga teachers will be trained by John through John Taylor Yoga; the quality of future teachers is dependent upon quality teacher trainings.

John Taylor is a great yoga teacher; he is on a path of yogic philosophy and lifestyle. He was very effective and patient in teaching various poses and trained us on how to teach a class safely and effectively. I also enjoyed discussions on various topics related to yoga philosophy. Thanks a lot John!

As a dedicated yoga practitioner, through the years I saw others enroll in 200 RYT programs but as a 79-year old women I discounted the idea. Now having completed the training and received my 200 RYT Certification, I’m glad I “went for it” because not only am I equipped to conduct a quality yoga lesson, my skill level is at a much higher place than it was before taking the program.

Particularly noteworthy about your certification program was the building block way you insured I would be able to successfully run my own yoga classes immediately after completing the program. The extras you incorporated like a recommended reading and video list, the handouts and showing how I can weave chair yoga into my classes for the older folks not quite in the shape I am added a dimension of professionalism that isn’t always available in other programs.

While 200-hours is a long time commitment, your flexibility in learning methods and comfortable style made the class fun and something I looked forward-to.

I wish you every success with your future 200 RYT Certification classes and look forward to obtaining my Yoga Alliance Continuing Education through you in the future.

Thank again and best wishes.
